Halloween Mimosa Bar

Halloween Mimosa Bar

Happy October everyone! We have officially entered spooky season so it is time to get those Halloween decorations out if you haven’t already hahah. I know I say this every month, but I cannot believe that we are already in October. This is crazy!

I am so excited for all of the October activities we have planned this month – the renaissance festival, pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving party, Halloween brunch and dinner – it is going to be a busy (but fun) next few weeks!

As someone who loves to brunch, I wanted to put together a cute ~spooky~ mimosa bar! Everything is super easy to prep and can be done the night before.

I made the ‘Mimosa Bar’ sign in Canva and placed it in a picture frame from HomeGoods! If you haven’t heard of Canva, it is a must have app for your phone – I’ve been using it for years! You can create everything from menus, invitations, food tags and place cards!

I used a large cauldron serving bowl from Crate and Barrel to hold the champagne bottles. I felt like the bowl needed an extra ~something~ so I added faux web and a few spiders. You could also add a large bow around the lip of the bowl! If you want to take it to the next level, add dry ice inside the bowl to give it that smokey effect!

If you haven’t caught up on the HomeGoods Haul or the Pottery Barn Skeleton Hand Glasses Dupe, definitely check them both out! A majority of the items in this post can be found there! I will link a few great alternatives here as well :).

Let’s get into the mixers and garnishes! I found these really cute test tubes on Amazon. They hold the perfect amount of juice for one mimosa.

The juices I decided to go with were orange and cranberry juice. To make the orange juice black, I added a little activated charcoal powder. It was perfect and you can’t even taste it!

For garnishes, I (of course) wanted to keep it creepy-chic. I opted for lychee eyeballs and licorice spider legs. They’re ~just~ spooky enough without being tacky or childish haha.

For the spider legs, I used shoestring licorice and cut them into 6″ – 8″ pieces. For some reason, it was so hard for me to find licorice lol. I was able to pick some up at World Market. Place 3 legs on each side of the glass and that’s it!

To make the lychee eyeballs, I highly suggest using the ones sold in a can. They are already peeled and pitted so it makes the prep 10 times easier. You can typically find this in the Asian aisle by the coconut milk. Add a red jam or jelly (I used strawberry, but you could also use raspberry) to the center of the lychee where the pit was and stuff a blueberry inside. Super easy! You can prepare the night before and keep them in the fridge until you are ready to serve.

And that’s it guys! It takes less than 30 minutes to prep everything but looks like you put a ton of effort into it. With two weeks left in October, do you have any brunches planned?
