Slowly but surely, I’ve been getting more into floral arrangements! They don’t come easy to me but after a ton of trial and error, I find something that works! For my summer tablescape, I wanted to create something that was fun, yet simple and chic. I knew I wanted to use lemons and immediately loved the idea of pairing them with hydrangeas!
To create this gorgeous floral arrangement, this is what you’ll need (everything I used is linked below):
– Medium glass vase
– About 17 faux lemons (I used 2 boxes of faux lemons linked below)
– 9 faux white hydrangeas
– 1 faux eucalyptus stem
First, I started by cutting about an inch off of the hydrangea stems. Depending on the size of your vase, you may need to trim more off. If you ordered the same hydrangeas I am using from Amazon, hold the stem upside down and give it a few shakes to fluff out the flowers! It makes a hugeee difference!
Next, I moved on to the eucalyptus stem! I decided not to trim this one because it was expensive and for this arrangement, it would have to be trimmed a lot. I plan on using this for future arrangements and figured using tape could be just as effective! I basically folded it in 1/3rds and wrapped it tightly with clear masking tape! This was still a tad too long so I then folded the stem in half!
For the arrangement, I placed 4 hydrangeas in the vase with the eucalyptus stem in the center. Then, I started to fill the vase with the lemons. Once the vase was filled with lemons, I added more hydrangeas. It started to get tight but I managed to fit 7 flowers in and the arrangement looked nice and full!
Once all of the stems were in (7 hydrangeas and 1 eucalyptus stem), I positioned the eucalyptus stems to the bottom of the hydrangeas to give the arrangement a little drapery. Anddd that’s it! You could easily size this up or down, depending on where you plan on putting it!
