Aren’t you guys proud of me? I am on FIRE with these Halloween posts! hahah. Today, I am sharing how I put together this beautiful floral arrangement. I must admit, I do not have much experience with arranging flowers BUT I am learning! For this being my second ever – I am extremely proud :)!
To keep with the Halloween theme, the floral arrangement is monochromatic with an optional slight pop of color. Since the intended use of this arrangement is a centerpiece on the dining table, I went with a large round vase. After days of searching, the perfect one was found at Crate and Barrel! If you plan to place this on an entry way table, offset to one side, I would go with a slimmer and taller vase!
For florals, I found everything at Michaels. They have an amazing selection of black flowers and stems! I tried to mix up the heights with different pieces.

I started by taking the black ball bushes and breaking them up into individual flowers. From here, you can either cut the stem or fold them as shown above. The reason I opted not to trim the stems was because I may want to use these in a taller vase in the upcoming years!
These flowers should be the shortest ones in the arrangement in order to keep a variety of height.
One thing I wish I did was remove some of the green stems from the black ball bushes. It still looks great but it was getting pretty tight in there! haha. You can always decrease the number of flowers you use, but I think a full arrangement looks best in this situation.
Next, I added the 3 eucalyptus stems. I did not fold the ends of these because I wanted them to be the tallest. Try to spread them out so that one is to the left, one in the center, and the other is to the right.
Finally, I took the black pampas bunch and separated the four stems from one another. Like the eucalyptus, try to place them across from one another. I also placed them around the perimeter of the entire arrangement so that it provides a nice drapery.
This is totally optional but I LOVE how the faux spider web with spiders looks on the vase! I added this last because you sort of have to “tuck” the web into the mouth of the vase in order for it to stay. Once the web is on, stick on a few spiders to make it look more realistic :)!
And here we are with a little pop of color! I love how these red velvet hands add a spooky element but are also elegant!
How do you guys go about arranging flowers? Do you find inspiration from Pinterest or do you just go into the store and let the creative juices flow?
