The Must-Have Tabletop Fire Pit

& An Easy Smores Board Idea

One of my favorite and most cherished memories as a child was when Ellese and I received a s’mores maker. We were obsessed with that thing and literally wanted to make s’mores ALL THE TIME!

Fast forward to today, I think the last time I made a s’more was when Sabir and I went camping with my family like 2 years ago, hahah. Although I’ve always wanted a fireplace at home, we’ve never had one in our apartment because it’s just not something many city apartments offer (unless you’re paying an absurd amount to rent).

I was soo excited when I came across Stonhome’s tabletop fire pit on Insta because it provides the coziness of a fireplace while also being 1.) portable and 2.) so easy to use and clean! I had reached out to them about two weeks ago to collaborate and I am not kidding when I say, this thing gets used every. single. day.

The tabletop fire pit is a really good size and very aesthetically pleasing – it’s just gorgeous all around! I opted for the white marble, but they also offer it in black marble (would look beautiful if you had gold accents)! There is a metal dish in the center where you can add 70% isopropyl alcohol as fuel (you can buy this at any drugstore for like $2). This is safe to use when making s’mores because only water vapor and carbon dioxide are off-gassed when burned!

We’ve used this both inside our apartment and outside on the patio without any issues. If we fill the fuel dish to the line, it burns for about 1.5 hours inside. I will say, the flame seems to last longer when it is inside because there is no wind present. Nonetheless, we tend to use this more frequently on the patio when we eat dinner or just want to be outside!

Moving on to the s’mores board itself! This is the first time I switched it up and used different types of chocolate & WOW, the results did not disappoint. Plan to put enough out for each person to have about 2-3 s’mores (although, it seems like the average over here is about 4 lol).

To create my board, I used the following:

– Theo’s Cherry Almond Dark Chocolate
– Dandie’s Marshmallows
– Nabisco’s Graham Crackers
– Unreal Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
– Trader Joe’s Joe-Joe’s

YOU. GUYS. Ditch the plain milk chocolate bars now! The dark chocolate with dried fruit was most definitely my favorite, followed by the peanut butter cup! It is actually a game changer.

If you’re a little confused about the Joe-Joe’s (Trader Joe’s version of an Oreo) like I was, just skip the graham cracker, separate the Oreo & place the marshmallow between the cookies. SO GOOD! My mouth is actually watering as I am writing this.

This is such a quick and fun activity to do with kids, as a date night, or even when you have a group of people over. We had a few friends over for a late brunch last weekend and decided to bring this guy out and it was a huge hit!

I would also like to throw in there that a good Cabernet pairs amazingly with any of these s’more options! Hopefully this is something you can add to your fall tradition and start making memories like I did with Ellese :).
